Cambodia will export 1 million tons in 1 year by 2015

Officials agricultural and economic experts expect that the country will achieve its rice exports to international markets 1 million tons per year in 2015. But officials have warned that Cambodia is dependent on the production line and a lot to succeed in this goal. Last year, Cambodia has exported 2 million tons to 48 countries in the world. Rice, 80 percent is exported to Europe, followed by Asia, Australia and Africa. Dr. dare Van, deputy head of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the President Secretariat single gateway for filling shipments of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, said the past six months of 2012, Cambodia exported some 78,000 tons, an increase over the past year to 4,000 tonnes in the same period. However, the country seems far from the goals it has set. But Dr. dare Van Horn believes that the government will fulfill its plans to export rice. I hope it did not have any problems, we will push rice exports from a defined plan. The report monitors the implementation of policies on boosting rice production and exports (2010-2011) shows that the government has put plans to export 25 per cent of the planned 1 million tons. But the report concluded that if the pace of export same to export within six months of the year 2012, the country will not be able to achieve 25 percent for the year. Thailand is a country that exported the largest. In 2011, the country exported 10.5 million tonnes, followed by Vietnam, which exports 7.2 million tons. Dr Mey Kalyan, senior adviser of the Supreme Economic Council and a founding pillar of the policy on boosting rice production and exporters have said the target of the country's rice exports depend on internal efforts and international context factors
